Head Barista

We’re looking for an experienced Head Barista who cares deeply about great coffee, enjoys leading a team, and knows how to create a brilliant customer experience.

You’ll take the lead on coffee quality across the café, supporting the team, maintaining high standards, and helping us continue to develop what we do.

The Role

• Make exceptional coffee
  Serve consistently high-quality coffee with care, precision, and attention to detail.

• Lead and develop the team
  Train, support, and motivate our baristas, helping them build their skills, confidence, and knowledge of speciality coffee.

• Maintain quality and consistency
  Manage dial-ins, recipes, equipment care, and day-to-day coffee standards to make sure every cup is where it should be.

• Keep learning and improving
  Stay engaged with the wider speciality coffee world and bring new ideas, techniques, and knowledge into the café.

• Create a great customer experience
  Be warm, approachable, and knowledgeable, building genuine relationships with customers and helping create an atmosphere people want to return to.

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience in speciality coffee

• Confident espresso preparation and knowledge of different brewing methods

• Experience training, mentoring, or leading others

• Excellent communication and people skills

• A positive, proactive approach

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality

• The ability to stay calm, organised, and consistent in a busy café environment

The Details

• 35+ hours per week

• Weekend availability required

• Permanent position

• Competitive hourly rate
