About this role

The Role

We’re looking for senior baristas who combine excellent hospitality with speed, precision and attention to detail. We invest in our team and training, but expect high standards from day one.

You’ll need strong speciality coffee knowledge, confidence with opening shifts and dial-ins, and the ability to consistently prepare exceptional espresso, batch brew and pour overs during busy services.

This is a customer-focused role for someone who brings energy, takes ownership and maintains high standards across coffee, service, workflow, cleanliness and teamwork.

About You

We’re looking for someone who takes ownership and understands how people, product and hospitality work together. You’ll be a confident, hands-on barista who leads by example, with a focus on exceptional hospitality, quality and attention to detail.

You’ll understand the bigger picture and be excited by the opportunity to help grow and develop an established independent business, working closely alongside the Directors.

Responsibilities

Confident with opening & closing duties

Dial in, adjust, and prepare espresso, batch brew, and pour overs recipes throughout service

Operate and maintain high-end coffee equipment

Support daily operations incl: stock control, ordering, deliveries, and high H&S standards

Light food prep (Granola bowls & focaccia sandwiches)

Deliver warm, attentive hospitality and create meaningful guest experiences

Pay, Working Hours and Scheduling

The role is offered at £16-£17 per hour, incl tronc.

Full-time hours will be worked on a rota basis, with rotas published 2–4 weeks in advance. You will typically work 4-5 days per week, with additional hours available during busier periods.

Role Compensation

Free staff meals, tea and coffee on shift

Half-hour paid lunch break

Requirements

1 weekend day availability (essential)

2+ Years strong knowledge in espresso extraction, pour overs, batch brewing, recipe dial-ins, latte art, coffee origins, brew methods, workflow efficiency and machine maintenance (ideally in fast-paced, high-standard settings)
