At The Fields Beneath we rely on each other to get the job done in a smooth and efficient way whilst still having fun and ensuring the best experience for our customers.

For most of the week it’s two people working in the shop so you’ll wear different hats throughout the day. The two distinct areas are coffee and food - when “on coffee”, you’re the first interaction most customers will have, so being naturally warm and welcoming is key. You’ll have a keen eye for the needs of the customers and the needs of the shop floor. You’ll hold threads like daily stock levels, orders, till, floor, shop presentation, tidiness, cleanliness, among other things.

When on food you’ll oversee fridge and freezer stock rotation, breakfast and lunch prep, batch prep of sauces and ingredients, smoothies, as well as jumping behind the counter to interact with customers, helping on coffee and till when it’s busy.

Wherever you are on a particular day, building a confidence in knowing what’s needed and when is the goal. And to become so good that the people starting the next day can depend on you for leaving them everything they need, and the place looking sparkling and ready for them to do it all again.

The job is about 36 hours split across 4 days, the days can be long at around 9hrs so if you live locally that's a bonus. You get a paid and fed half hour break with all the free coffee on shift you can handle.

Our opening hours are:

Mon-Fri 7.30-4

Sat 8-5

Sun 9-4

Shift times start 30 mins before open and end 30 mins after close
